The past 42 years, MACSA has been recognized as a leader in serving the Latino community. MACSA's mission, culture and core values have guided the organization's culturally proficient service delivery and program development. MACSA's core values are based on mutual respect and cultural appreciation. The core values that guide MACSA, are intrinsic to our service delivery, and lend warmth to other national and ethnic backgrounds who find comfort, acceptance and trust in our services.
The magnitude of the needs of our community is daunting and we know that no one organization can create the systemic change that is needed. The Latino community continues to be one of most in need in our nation. In order for MACSA to be the catalyst for change, it is imperative that our work be focused and in partnership with others. For the past 3 years, MACSA has diligently worked on setting a vision for this decade that includes clearly defined core services based on building assets and incorporating evaluation systems to measure success. We believe that healthy, educated, culturally grounded individuals are most likely to thrive in this diverse nation and in today's global economy.
MACSA truly feels supported by its community partners and knows that it has ongoing support through community funds, foundations and donors. MACSA also understands that non-profits need to create revenue generating ventures to help close the unrestricted funding gaps. In our vision for this decade, we have incorporated several strategies designed to secure unrestricted funding. These new ventures include marketing MACSA's expertise in serving the Latino community and offering its 42 years of non-profit management knowledge to other non-profits through accounting and a variety of administrative services. Now, more than ever, there is a need for non- profits to work together in order to provide effective services and reduce overhead costs. These two micro enterprises will continue to forge partnerships, maximize resources and promote collaborative support between non-profits.
MACSA's new vision and direction has been designed to provide our community with the continued quality services it deserves. Through a focused culturally proficient service-delivery model, MACSA will be able to deliver its best work to its partners and the community. We welcome and invite you to join us, partner with us, and support us with these new ventures as we cultivate the assets of our community which has so much to offer.
Sinceramente,
Olivia Soza-Mendiola, MACSA CEO
