Family Programs

 
 

Male Involvement Program - Funded by the State Office of Family Planning, this male responsibility program provides young men, between the ages of 12-21, with educational workshops, support groups, parenting classes, and family support services. Through this comprehensive program participants develop the skills to prevent teen pregnancy, assume parental responsibility, pursue personal and academic goals, and become positive role models in their community. Male Involvement Program Title X: Provides 4 internships to young men, between the ages of 16-21, in the social service and health field.

School Linked Services – In collaboration with Santa Clara County Mental Health Services, a licensed counselor provides counseling for youth and families experiencing emotional and/or behavioral problems. Bi-cultural and bilingual serves are provided.

Mental Health Services – In collaboration with Santa Clara County Mental Health Services, a licensed counselor provides youth and family counseling, and crisis counseling focusing on behavioral and emotional problems. Bi-cultural and bilingual serves are provided.

Project Health/Proyecto Salud – Provides breast cancer education, awareness, and examination referral services through educational workshops and health fairs to low-income, migrant farm workers, monolingual and bilingual Spanish speaking women over the age of 40.

Mothers and Sons Programs – Provides female single-heads-of-household and their teenage sons with educational workshops, support groups, mentors, and organized social activities to assist them in developing the skills to address family, parenting, and teen issues.

Parent Education Classes – Provides parents, referred by Child Protective Services, with educational classes, support groups, case management, and support services to strengthen family dynamics and to address parenting and child development issues.
