The Mexican American Community Services Agency, Inc. (MACSA) is proud to announce the honorees for the Most Influential Latinos of Silicon Valley.

Civic Leadership: Efrain Coria, Marc Coronado, Hector Cortez, Frederick Ferrer, Herman Garcia, Josue Garcia, Oscar Garcia, Robert Lopez, Alex Ontiveros, and Dayana Salazar

Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame Inductee: Luis Valdez, an American playwright, writer and film director, is regarded as the father of Chicano Theatre, hails from San Jose, and lives and works in the Bay Area

The top one honoree in each category will be announced at the ¡Que Viva MACSA! Fundraiser on Saturday, June 27th at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. But, first the community is invited to vote for their favorite community leader by visiting quevivamacsa.com. The online voting will begin on Wednesday, May 13, 2009.

This year's event will be especially memorable as MACSA celebrates its 45th anniversary, and honors the Most Influential Latinos of Silicon Valley and Silicon Valley Latino Hall of Fame inductee

The pueblo-style dinner will kick-off the post awards festivities immediately following the ceremony, where guests will indulge in pueblo-style cuisine, spicy entertainment, and dancing under the stars.

In the third year of MACSA recognizing its community leaders, this year's event will depart from the previous Red Carpet Gala celebration. The focus of the celebration will be on recognizing MACSA's life long partners and highlighting the many milestones and accomplishments of MACSA.
