Youth reported high satisfaction with MACSA Programs. Of those surveyed, 84% reported that they enjoyed the program and would recommend it to a friend.
MACSA's youth reported an increase in developmental assets. Of those surveyed, 92% reported an increase in connections with positive adults, positive decision making and participation in fun/creative activities as a result of their participation in MACSA programs. 88% of the youth surveyed reported that as a result of their participation in a MACSA program, they formed friendships and felt it was important to help others.
The evaluation also assessed how well MACSA's youth programs address the core assets: health, education, and culture. In the area of health, 84% of the youth reported an overall increased level of physical activity and an increase in nutrition awareness. In the area of education, 78% of youth indicated that they completed and understood their homework and had a positive attitude about books. In the area of culture, 81% of the youth surveyed reported that MACSA's programs resulted in their learning more about their own culture and the culture of others.
